Loc Duy Thien Dao

Đào Duy Thiên Lộc (otherwise known as Loc Dao, b.1998) is an emerging Vietnamese artist who is working in the language of print, found objects, and installation. Dao’s works address his efforts in making sense of the world in and outside of him. He believes in the conflicting nature of the world: the necessary co-existence of opposing forces, and the melancholic humor in embracing fate. A combination of daily life observations, self-reflect sessions, pop culture, and social standards has become an integral part of his thinking process, together infusing in his identity as a foreigner living in the states. Experience in graphic design, street photography, and film production have also impacted Dao’s point of view. His works have been exhibited at Amarillo Museum of Art, Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum, and acquired by Amarillo National Bank Collection. He is currently residing in Amarillo, Texas to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from West Texas A&M University, majoring in Printmaking and Sculpture.
